HOW MUCH DO GLASSES COST?

We specialise in quality eyewear, working with the best frame and lens manufacturers.  Our prices not only reflect the quality of the products, but also the investment we make in our team to ensure you receive fantastic service and genuine care, from the best optical professionals around.

How much you spend on your eyewear is a balance between the quality of the frames, the optical quality of the lenses and how well you want to see.  The good news is that there are always options available to you.

Every week we help clients who have been disappointed by the big High Street chains or other opticians, but who now happily invest a bit more in their glasses, because they are getting better value and more for their money.

Spending that little bit extra can make all the difference between having a disappointing experience versus having glasses that make you look good and feel great, and that you’ll actually enjoy wearing.

FRAME PRICES

Our frames start at £200, and most of our popular collections are in the £275-£550 price range, giving you a wide choice of distinctive, hand-made styles. More luxurious and exclusive collections such as gold-plated frames and buffalo-horn frames are also available with further investment.

LENS PRICES

We only use premium lenses of the highest quality, so that you benefit from the very best vision possible.  We have a wide choice of options, so our team of experts will work with you to help you choose the right lenses for your prescription, visual needs and budget.

Lens technologies continue to develop and advance, and we’ll keep you updated on these new developments. We will always work hard to give you the best lens available, for the price point you are comfortable with.

If you wear single vision lenses (e.g. for distance or reading) our premium lenses start at £175 and go up to £575 for the thinnest customised lenses.  Basic single vision lenses are available for as little as £100.

If you wear varifocals for better flexibility, our premium lens prices start at £400 and go up to £850 for the very latest technology.  Basic varifocal lenses are available from as little as £200.

For optimum clarity and comfort, all lens prices include the best anti-glare coatings that also offer superior scratch resistance, easier cleaning and even full UV protection.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT COMPLETE GLASSES TO COST?

As a guide, most clients invest around £450 to £650 if they wear single vision lenses, or £750 to £950 if they wear varifocals. These values allow them to choose their perfect glasses without compromising on their style or vision.

We believe that your perfect glasses should be affordable, with payments made as easy as possible.

Our Perspective Easy Eyewear Plan allows you to spread the cost of your new eyewear over 10 months interest free!

You are probably going to wear your new specs every day for at least the next 2 years, so we want to make sure you don’t have to settle for second best.

As an example, a lovely pair costing £750 would work out at less than £55/month, based on a 30% deposit of £225 and the remaining balance paid over 10 months at £52.50/month.

MORE VALUE FROM YOUR VISION

For many people who come to us for the first time, their investment in glasses is more than they have spent before. But they are happy to do so, as now they have glasses they actually enjoy wearing…because they look great and can actually see well out of them!

They have worked out that even if you only wear your glasses for two years, making life look better costs less than £1.25 a day…….so feel they are really getting a lot more value for their money at Perspective.

CAN I BRING MY PRESCRIPTION FROM ANOTHER OPTICIANS?

YES absolutely!  We are also happy for one of our optometrists to double check it for you, especially if you were unsure about the result

WHY IS THE PRACTICE PRIVATE?

For nearly 20 years we have been helping people not just see better, but also look better, in glasses that they love. The changes that COVID created made us ask ourselves “How can we make sure we are here for our patients in the future?”

It became clear we also had to change, so we evolved into a fully private practice.

The NHS Sight-test now only provides for a minimum level of care and clinical time, which is something we do not feel comfortable offering our patients.

Being private means that we can continue to provide the best level of care possible, with no restrictions of when or how often we see you.

So that you can easily continue to benefit from all the expert eyecare you need we have created our Perspective Eyecare Plan. Just £7.50 per month covers your regular Advanced Eye Examination with OCT scans, plus any emergency appointments you might need.

As a thank you for your support you will also receive 10% off* your spectacles or sunglasses.

CAN YOU STILL REFER TO THE NHS?

The simple answer is YES. We regularly refer patients who require further investigations or treatment to the local NHS services. A common example would be referral for cataract surgery under the NHS. We also have access to the new NHS  Electronic Eye Referral Service that is rolling out in our area.

We always believe in offering our patients advice and choice, so if a private referral would be a good option, we have very close links with the top local ophthalmology consultants and surgeons.

HOW TO FIND US & WHERE TO PARK?

Perspective is centrally located off Mell Square in Drury Arcade on Drury Lane, close to the back doors of the old House of Fraser building.

Mell Square car park, which is accessed from the Warwick Road, provides the most convenient parking. The simplest way to pay is using the Pay-By-Phone app, as you can easily extend your stay if required.

Follow the signs in the carpark for the shops which lead you to the exit ramp. Just turn right at the top of the pedestrian exit, and you’ll see the practice a few metres down.

HOW LONG TO PARK FOR?

If you are visiting for an eye examination we recommend parking for at least 2 hours, which allows time following your check-up and to see the dispensing team afterwards. Please avoid parking on Morrisons as the free time allowed is too short, and they do like to issue parking fines.
